This panel evaluates factors related to Human Growth Hormone to determine if Peptide Therapy would benefit you.

What is this panel?

The Initial Peptide Therapy Panel for Men measures factors that help identify your Human Growth Hormone levels to determine if you are a candidate for Peptide Therapy.

Peptide Therapy supplements peptides to create various responses in the endocrine system (the system that secretes hormones). This type of therapy focuses specifically on a hormone called Human Growth Hormone (hGH). hGH is responsible for many things, including growth, healing, and cell regeneration. As we age, our hGH levels decline, which can lead to longer recovery times after workouts, difficulty maintaining body composition, slow wound healing, and other negative symptoms. Peptide Therapy can help trigger the release of hGH to replenish levels for symptom relief.

The following tests are included in the panel to help identify a potential need or risks for Peptide Therapy:

  • Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF-1) – This test measures IGF-1, which is a growth factor related to the production of hGH. Measuring IGF-1 can provide an insight into your hGH levels.
  • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP-14) – This panel measures several aspects of metabolic health to give you and your provider an understanding of your overall wellness. A metabolic panel can identify issues like diabetes, kidney disease, high blood pressure, and others.
  • Complete Blood Count (CBC) – This panel is a common diagnostic tool to measure overall health. It can help identify inflammation, infection, diseases like cancer, anemia, and more. General screening panels like CBC are useful in determining the appropriateness of Peptide Therapy because they help identify other potential causes for symptoms.
  • Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) – This test measures a specific antigen, PSA, to diagnose potential prostrate health issues. This is another screening tool designed to help eliminate or identify other potential causes of symptoms, as well as risk factors for Peptide Therapy.
  • Fasting Insulin – This test can help diagnose diabetes. Insulin also interacts with hGH and IGF-1, which makes it a useful peptide to measure when considering Peptide Therapy.
  • Hemoglobin A1c – This test shows your average blood sugar levels and can be used to diagnose and track progress on managing diabetes. Because hGH affects insulin and vice versa, this test is also useful in deciding whether Peptide Therapy is an appropriate treatment

Who is this panel for?

This panel is for men who are considering Peptide Therapy to treat decreasing hGH levels as a result of aging. If your symptoms include decreased muscle mass, changes in body composition, difficulty sleeping, slow wound healing and recovery, and poor memory, Peptide Therapy may be able to help you.

If you are considering a Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) protocol alongside Peptide Therapy, we recommend ordering the Complete Wellness Panel for Men as well as the Add-On Peptide Therapy panelThe Peptide Therapy Initial Panel for Men is for those who are solely interested in Peptide Therapy.
